It's been over 7 years since the last time I made a post. I should probably give some updates. I have been living in Korea for almost 6 years now. I have lived in several different places, but I now currently live in Seoul. I actually forgot that I had this blog. today I was going through my Google+ (which I also do not use) and stumbled upon my old blog. After reading through the post that I did have, I decided that I wanted to revamp my page.

There are many things that I am active in now and would like to share my experiences. Seven years is a long time to be away, and a lot has happened to me during that time. I want to share my experiences with everyone good and bad. I have worked in various public schools and hagwons and would also like to talk about my experience from both sides. Last year, I started spending a lot of time working on my health. That includes working out and my diet. I am also taking the steps towards getting my F visa. I want to live and work here and not just spend my time teaching. I would also like to talk with you guys about that process as well. There is so much I want to share, but unfortunately, I can not write it all in this post.

My plan for this blog is to write two posts a week, and see how it works. I hope that over time I can update this more than twice a week, but I feel like twice a week is doable for me. I hope that everyone is doing well, and I hope that you take interest in my blog! Until next time! See ya!! ^^
I am having a hard time with writing everyday. I am super sorry about that. I have be super busy with working two jobs, and I have a new thing that I am working on. I have not been writing because there was not much going on just work and paper work. Let me stop with the boring stuff and announce the big news I have for everyone. In August I will be moving to South Korea!!!!! I am soo excited . I have been talking about wanting to learn Korean, and working two jobs just to pay to move out there. I am super happy that it is finally happening !!! ^_^

I want to talk about who I went through and what I had to do, but I feel like that should have it's own post. I will write about everything you need in my next post. I think that sometime this week it will come out. Lately, I have been really busy downsizing my room and getting the items I should pack together. I need to get back to work on learning Korean, so far I can say a few words and read some things but it is not enough. I will keep you posted on my progress. I still have to get my plane ticket and visa.

I know this is a short post, but I wanted to share this news with you guys. If you are interested in what I am doing and want more updates, you can follow me on twitter @Brina2214 I hope you guys have a great weekend! I will try to keep y'all posted! ^_^

I am sorry I have not added new post I have been super busy. Let me update you guys on my activities. In January I decided to apply for Teach for America. I know that I said that I was going to go overseas, but I wanted to try to take a detour. I thought that It would be a way to do something different, and I could still go overseas, when I finished my contract. I was really excited, and was hoping that things worked out. I ended up getting the call interview, but end the end did not make it to the final interview. I know some of you may think that is really sad, but I am okay now. Do not get me wrong I was frustrated that they did not invite me to the final interview, but I am a strong believer that things happen for a reason.

I believe that the reason it did not work out was because, I still wanted to teach and work overseas. So what did was I filled out an application to work overseas, and today I was contacted about an interview. I am supper excited!!!!!! ^_^ I have been working so hard to save and raise money to do this. I even got a second job making calls for surveys. I feel like things are finally working out. I will try to be more frequent with my blogs and let you guys know everything throughout the whole process. My plan is to write a new blog every weekend, and keep everyone updated about what is happening with me during the week.

I hope you all are enjoying the week, I am off for both jobs this week, so I have been doing a little spring cleaning. I hope everyone enjoys the week, and I will work hard in giving everyone updates. everyone have a good day!!! 안녕!!!

It has been a while, I apologize. I have been busy with work and just recently, I decided to start studying for Praxis I. I feel like I need to start getting certified. I have my masters but not my certification, so I think it is the time to start getting that done. I am not going to take the test until December though. Overall I love my job. I do have kids that I want to strangle, but for the most part my kids are pretty good. I am currently looking for a second job so I can start saving money for when I go overseas. I has been a little hard because, I still pay bills and about half of my check goes towards that, and I have other things I need to pay for. I am not going to worry about it, because I will find the second job it is going to take time. I already have a full time job, just need a part- time job for after work.
Well I guess I plan to talk about my transition from perm to natural hair. First off I did the transition, I refused to do the big chop! I spent the all of 2011 cutting perm out little by little. When I had finished my basketball season in March 2012 I cut the rest of it out. The problem that I had in the beginning was rocking my natural hair. I spent the beginning of my transition straightening my hair out. I played ball that whole year so that took a toll on my hair, because of the sweat, and again I kept straightening it out because I did not want my hair frizzy and puffy all the time.

I would say that whole year was an experiment year. I say that because I made a lot of mistakes. The biggest would be all the heat I had put to my hair, causing split ends. I used some products that did not help my hair and example BB hair oil, this ended up clogged my pores, and broke my hair off. Through all the trail and error I would say things have been better. I now do wash an go's and that is currently my go to hair style right now. I have been staying away from my blow dryer and straightener. Overall the end result is me being more confident in my natural hair. Honestly I have heard that people like my curly hair more than my straight hair.
My hair type is between a 3c/4a, If you are curious about what that looks like here is the link (http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types). The products that I have been using on my hair would be coconut oil, or carrot oil at times. Lately I have been using stuff from Lustrasilk there Curl Max products. It has really helped with defining my curls. The shampoo/ conditioner I have been using is Simply U, they usually sell the products that I mention at Walmart.

Overall, I feel like I have gotten a better handle on taking care of my hair. I feel like I am also confident on answering questions that anyone may have. Still I could only base this off my own experience. I feel like products that work for me may not work for others. I hopefully at a later date I can give my reviews on certain products that I have used. Right now the stuff I am using right now is working, but I may experiment with something else later on. If you have any questions leave a comment and I will try to give a response.
I am just in a really good mood. I love what I do at school and the kids I work with. I decided to take this year to work and learn before I try to go overseas to teach, and overall it was a good decision. Many of the teachers I worked with have been very nice, and have given me good advice for when I start teaching. Other things that are going on is, I have three different blogs, and I am thinking of just adding them all to this on since, I get more views here than on my others.
I wanted to update you guys on last week. Well lets start with the sad news. Monday was my last day at my part time job. I figured out that the new job I have conflicts with the times I go in for my part-time job. I told my supervisor I had to leave, and she was very understanding. I did go in though and said goodbye to my kids. They a couple of they gave me hugs, but I was very sad I had to leave. I worked there for about a month, and was getting to know, and forming relationships with the children, and there parents. I will truly miss working there, but I had to find a full time job, I could not just work a part-time job. On a lighter note, I really enjoy my new job. Everyone is very nice and love the atmosphere. It was a little overwhelming at first, especially with everyone introducing themselves to me. I pretty much have to start all over this week with the names, because I do not remember them all. Well if anyone has anything you want to talk about, write in the comment box. I would love to hear from you guys.

I just wanted to write an update to last week. As you read in my last post, I was having a few issues with my co-worker and I had a meeting with my supervisor. Well the good news I have was I had two interviews for Para Educator jobs. I am happy Friday I was finally hired! I am so happy I had a ton of drama go on last week, and this was a great pick me up. I was caught off guard though. I had an interview Thursday, and was on my way to work. Before I even walked in they called and said they were very impressed by my interview, and would love for me to work for them. I start tomorrow I am super excited. This is just an update I will fill you guys in on any future developments.
Yesterday we both had a meeting with our supervisor. Turns out he was not calling them at all to talk about why he did not come in for work. During this month he missed about three days all three he told me he was sick. I think he is in trouble for not calling then and tilling the situation. Even after having the meeting we had yesterday, he did not even bother to show up. I do not know if he is quitting or what. I guess I will have to wait until we have our staff meeting tonight. Overall I feel really guilty even though I have been told I am doing the right thing, I don't like telling on others. I guess that is my weakness I can bee too nice, that is something I have been trying to work on. For those who had read the article I did on my natural hair I have a new pic!

YES! My hair has grown a bit since I did that post! I am so excited, I have not measured my hair length since then which was two months ago and now. I plan to write another post in that section. I tend to spend more time writing post here, but I will put another post up for that soon. Anyway if you have situation's like the one I am having at work or even at school, write a comment. I would love to read then and write back.
I thought that things would be a bit simpler when I returned home, but not quite. I had plans to get a part-time job and a full time job to raise money for me to work overseas. I want to raise some money to teach overseas it has been something I wanted to do since I was in college. It has been a little harder than what I planed in my head. I have a part-time job where I work with younger children before and after school, but I have yet to find a full time job.
I am not going to complain though, I know I will eventually find that second job. I just have to keep trying. I know life is hard If you give up at every little bump you never get anywhere. Overall I am still on the search for a second job. Other projects I am working on other that is, I and working on learning another language. I have always wanted to learn another language, and since I am not in school anymore I am using this time to keep learning and lean a new language. For those who are in education, you know how important it is to keep learning even though you done with school . I love studying and learning new things, so I am very excited about doing something new.

Yes! I do plan to learn Korean. I want to work overseas in South Korea, so it would make since to learn the language. I do know the basics right now as to introducing myself, asking questions, and I know certain words. I hope to be able to read and hold a conversation before I leave the states. Are you guys trying learning a new language? Leave a comment below. I would like to hear about it.
I have just been really busy. I am just going to get right to the point. I just finished my Masters! I am very excited. Right now I am currently waiting on my grades to be posted, and my diploma to be sent to my house. As of right now I am looking for a full time job. It has been pretty hard but, I am not the type to give up. I am currently working part-time for communities and schools. I start my first day of work today, and I am soo excited. I guess you can tell considering I work at 6:30a.m. today and I am up at 12:00a.m. writing this blog because I can not sleep. I'M SO EXCITED! I am working with children, and that is something I truly enjoy doing.

The only thing that I find weird is I have to move back home. I have not lived at home since I went off to college in fall of 2007 so it's been about five years. The only thing that upsets me being home is, since I have been gone for so long my mom decided to use my room as storage. The first three weeks home I was camping out in the living room with all my stuff trying to finish my research work for my professor.

This past weekend I decided to give my room a makeover. I felt like it was a much need make over. I have pics from with I was painting, but I do not have what my room looked like before. I guess I will let fill you in on how much my room needed a make-over. Before I did the make- over I had posters all over my room. This might not be a problem everyone has posters in there room, but people do not have N'SYNC posters still hanging around or Kobe posters from where he was a rookie and wore number 8.

After painting I had paint pretty much everywhere on me, and it took forever to scrub it all off. I still had fun painting thoug.

Anyway it took two days to move things out of my room, paint, and assembling, furniture, and then moving things back into my room. Still, I am satisfied with the finished product.
